Increasing interest in recycling solutions
The campaign PVC recycling has again had a successful time at the „Demolition Conference“ on 15 February 2019 in Berlin, where German and European solutions were shown for floor coverings, roofing membranes, windows, roller shutters, coated fabrics as well as for pipes made from PVC.
“There is an increasing demand for recycling solutions in the demolition sector for our PVC products. We saw familiar faces but also lots of new guests on our stand. We register a distinct rise in both the number and quality of our contacts,” noted Michael Vetter, Managing Director of Rewindo GmbH.
Karin Arz, Managing Director of IVK Europe and Roofcollect was also pleased as well as Dr. Jochen Zimmermann, Managing Director of AgPR, who both were represented at the booth.
Wide range of specialist lectures
“In the 25 editions of the FACHTAGUNG ABBRUCH there were around 12,300 attendees, around 1,370 exhibiting companies and exactly 478 lectures”; said DA Managing Director Pocha in his opening speech on the occasion of the anniversary. “On the occasion of the anniversary, we can record a further increase in the popularity of this conference. The mark of more than 1,000 attendees was reached and the increase in the rented exhibition space by more than 30% compared to the previous year underlines that the Fachtagung Abbruch is accepted by the industry, by you,”; he continued.
The CDU politician and former member of the Bundestag, Wolfgang Bosbach, gave the opening speech on the topic “What matters now”. The further lectures of the symposium covered the broad spectrum of topics of the fields of work of the demolition industry.
An important target group
The demolition companies as supplier for potential raw materials are very important contact persons. “We need them
to implement successfully our recycling solutions,” stated Karin Arz. “The annual conference organised by the German Demolition Association (DV) is a great opportunity to talk directly to managers of participating companies and to present them our possibilities.”
